The 4th of July is not only spent staring at the nights sky admiring fireworks, but a great time to spend time with family and friends as we celebrate our freedom as Americans. We have put together a couple crafts and recipes to do as a family or to have at a gathering that we hope you’ll enjoy!

4th of July 2013 Fireworks Vegas
Now to the good part! The following is a list of 4th of July 2013 Fireworks shows in Vegas:
July 4th with the Las Vegas Philharmonic
4 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Symphony Park, Smith Center

The Las Vegas Philharmonic will throw a 4th of July extravaganza at The Smith Center, complete with Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and guest artists Clint Holmes and Kristen Hertzenberg. The Philharmonic concert will be at 7:30 p.m. at Reynolds Hall. Music will be piped outside to those watching the fireworks in Symphony Park, adjacent to The Smith Center. Performing outdoors will be Frankie Moreno, Sam Riddle and Ellie Smith. The fireworks will also be simulcast on a video screen inside the concert hall. Fireworks will go off at 9 p.m.
65th Annual Damboree

Broadbent Memorial Park

Boulder City presents its 65th annual Damboree celebration July 4th. Festivities begin with a parade at 9 a.m.. The fun continues from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Broadbent Memorial Park with midway booths, food, drinks, games and entertainment. At 6 p.m., head to Veterans’ Memorial Park for food, a water park, games, music and a pie-eating contest. The night concludes with fireworks at 9 p.m.

Mission Hills Park

The City of Henderson presents its annual 4th of July celebration with live music, games, activities and a fireworks show at 9 p.m. Food including hot dogs, hamburgers, sno-cones and ice cream will be for sale. Shuttle service from Foothill High School (800 College Dr.) will be provided throughout the event, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Fireworks at Caesars Palace
Caesars Palace on the Strip
In celebration of Independence Day, Caesars Palace will light up the sky with a fireworks display from the rooftop of the Roman Tower. The celebratory show will kick off at 9 p.m., weather permitting, giving hotel guests and passersby the best views on the Las Vegas Strip from the front fountains at Caesars Palace.
Lake Las Vegas 4th of July Celebration
July 5 – 6
Montelago Village at Lake Las Vegas
Lake Las Vegas will be hosting a Classic Car Show on Friday, July 5th and Saturday, July 6th. Classic cars will be on display at MonteLago Village on Friday July 5 from 4 to 10 p.m., and again on Saturday July 6 from 4 to 10 p.m. The event on Friday July 5 will include food vendors and music from the ’70s and ’80s provided by a DJ. On Saturday July 6 there will also be food vendors along with live jazz entertainment provided by the Tommy Thompson Project. The weekend car show will be capped off by a Fireworks display at 9 p.m. on July 6. The fireworks spectacular will take place on the lake with viewing areas from multiple vantage points.
Station Casinos July 4th Fireworks Blast

Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock Resort
The “We Love Locals’ July 4th Fireworks Blast” will be a nine-minute fireworks show to honor the nation’s 237th birthday. The fireworks shows will go off on the east and west sides of town at Green Valley Ranch resort and Red Rock Resort. The fireworks show will be produced by the Gruccis of New York.

Stars, Stripes & Sparks July 4th Celebration
The free July 4th event is a fun family outing with fireworks, panoramic city views, Tony Marques Band, contests for all ages, food vendors and park activities. Picnic baskets, chairs, coolers and leashed pets are welcome, but no alcohol, glass or outside fireworks, including sparklers. Pyrotecnico is creating the special 15-minute show. Bozarth Elementary School to sell red, white & blue glow-in-the-dark necklaces for donations. Also bring new or gently used books for Spread the Word Nevada.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway
The Bullring, Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s NASCAR-sanctioned 3/8-mile asphalt oval for local stock car racing, will present its popular Night of Fire on Wednesday, July 3. The highlight of the evening will be a spectacular holiday fireworks display at the end of the program at approximately 10:20 p.m. Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m.
Behind Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino in the Star of the Desert Arena parking lot, Primm, Nev.
Primm Valley Casino Resorts will celebrate Independence Day with a stunning fireworks display on July 4. Guests can claim a prime viewing spot located behind Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino in the Star of the Desert Arena parking lot. The show, which is in partnership with Pyrotecnico, will last for 18 minutes.

Summerlin Parade 2013
This year’s parade starts at 9:00 a.m. Thursday. It is open to the public.
Summerlin will hold its 19th annual Fourth of July parade, a massive annual celebration that is open to the public. The event is expected to draw more than 35,000 people and will showcase 70 parade entries, including marching bands, professionally decorated floats and giant Macy’s-style helium balloons. Several new entries have been added to the parade roster this year, including the Colors of the Wind Pocahontas-inspired float, a 30-foot inflatable Thomas the Tank Engine helium balloon, the “Star Wars” Death Star balloon, accompanied by Stormtroopers and a 65-foot inflatable brachiosaurus.
