Disney’s The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world and now, for the first time ever, the Headliners have this opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical at Winchester Cultural Center. The African savannah comes to life on our stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
The Winchester Headliners Theater Program teaches basic acting skills, improvisation, life skills, public speaking techniques, scene study and self-esteem as well as technical theater skills, such as sound, costume, lighting design and set construction in a fun, yet educational atmosphere.
The program is facilitated by Adam Neri and Anna Allred. Neri has coached children in the Clark County School District for more than a decade in theater and improvisation as well as performing with Las Vegas’ Second City. He coaches three successful high school improvisation teams and has directed many plays and performances around the Las Vegas Valley, including Story Theater, a touring production for elementary school students. Allred has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UNLV and has done improvisational comedy, singing, and acting for 17 years. She also has been teaching improv comedy and acting for over 10 years and specializes in vocal training.
This session Adam and Anna were assisted by Manny Mojica for vocals and Tiffannie Bond for dance.
