Marvel’s The Avengers
|Even if you’ve only seen one of these Marvel hero’s movies, or all of them, you will thoroughly enjoy Marvel’s The Avengers! I have to be honest, I’ve seen a couple Hulk movies, wasn’t impressed with the Iron Man movies, didn’t see Captain America, have a crush on Thor, and have no idea who the guy with the arrows is or who this Black Widowchick is – but I’m a new fan!As a huge fan of Thor I felt I had died and gone to Asgard, be prepared to fully geek out during Marvel’s The Avengers if you’re a fan of ANY of these movies! The Hulk is near and dear to my heart. It’s the only show I remember (aside from American Hero – I’m singing the song in my head now) that I watched with my dad.
The dialog in this movie is nothing short of hilarious. The audience broke out in laughter, applause, and several gasps simultaneously. We may have even held back tears together (I wasn’t able to hold mine back but I gave it a good try).
One of my favorite exchanges was between Thor and my new female fav. Natasha Romanoff:Thor is speaking to The Avengers in regards to Loki who’s on Earth doing what Loki does best (causing trouble) –
Thor: He’s my brother
Natasha Romanoff: He killed 80 people in 2 days.
Thor: He’s adopted.
Why is Marvel’s The Avengers
a movie worth seeing?
Fun banter is placed throughout the movie breaking up action scenes and cluing those of us who have not watched every Marvel movie as to the dynamics of what’s going on. Genius and totally engaging.
The 3D effects are nothing short of amazing, the cast if packed with stars who held their own movie empires on their own just fine, and together paired with the great director Joss Whedon they have created a movie that will surely have many more to follow. Finally, something I can look forward to!
The Avengers – A movie worth seeing with KIDS?
Is The Avengers a good movie to take the kids to? It really depends on your child. I don’t think most kids under 5 would be able to sit through the movie or get the value out of the dialog. However, the movie is very fast paced and full of explosions so if that’s up their alley, go for it.
