Our local grocery store is now selling these cute little pumpkins in batches of 5.  I was glad to see a bag of the mini pumpkins just in case this craft turned out to be harder then I was expecting.  At least one should make it!  We had found a bag of vampire teeth at Walmart for under $3.  We have googlie eyes on hand for all occasions, googlie eyes make everything look cooler :)

Halloween Mini Pumpkin Monsters Supplies:

  • Mini Pumpkin
  • Knife
  • Vampire Teeth
  • Googlie Eyes

Find the perfect spot to cut out the mouth.  Sit the little pumpkin on your counter to see how it will sit when done.  Make a mark on the little pumpkin where the teeth will be by holding the vampire teeth to the pumpkin.  Cut the little pumpkin and fit the teeth in the hole.  Decorate with googlie eyes.

Halloween Mini Monster Pumpkins by Vegas Family Events

I was able to get two Halloween Mini Pumpkin Monsters done pretty quickly!  This would be perfect for a little playdate take home gift too.  My kids decided to draw faces on their pumpkins instead of cutting them up.  Apparently these are just too cute to cut!  We took out the glitter glue, paints, and glow in the dark supplies and had a pre-October Pumpkin Painting party.

I had no idea these little pumpkins were going to have seeds in them like the bigger pumpkins!  We thought about roasting them in the oven with some soy but figured we’d have plenty of time for roasting seeds once October gets here.

Although there are pumpkin sellers popping up all over in parking lots, why not check out McKee Ranch Foundation’s Pumpkin Patch opening Oct. 1st!  Bring carrots or crackers to feed the goats, ducks, chickens, donkey, rabbits, and horses.  Food trucks and face painters will be on hand as well as a photographer so bring your little all dressed up!  *$20 donation fee to the foundation gets you admission and one pumpkin.
