Henderson Safekey
Safekey is a before- and after-school recreational enrichment program held at all Henderson elementary schools. This fun-filled program focuses on crafts, games and special activities as an alternative while parents work. The program offers a variety of stimulating activities designed to help your child grow socially, emotionally and physically, as well as homework time and a snack. Safekey provides milk by way of the USDA Special Milk Program through a grant from the Nevada Department of Education.
Teen Scene is for Sixth through eighth graders. Students can enjoy this enriching after-school program hosted at Henderson public middle/junior high schools. Provided for working parents to ensure teens’ safety, the program may feature arts and crafts, nutrition, sports, field trips, special events, homework time and a snack. And don’t forget to ask about our brand new offsite excursions to your teen’s favorite destinations.

It is offered at 63 elementary schools within the city. There is a one-time annual registration fee per child, per account. Morning passes cost $7, while afternoon passes cost $10.
The program uses the school district calendar as a guide and operates on days that in-person school instruction is in session. City of North Las Vegas Safekey
Safekey is a structured before and after school Recreational Enrichment Program designed for K-5th grade children. Safekey is offered at CCSD school sites and provides a variety of activities and social events such as arts and crafts, 4-H STEM, diversity program, fitness activities and physical games that are facilitated by trained staff.
Children may work on homework during homework time during the hours of Safekey, but we cannot enforce the completion of homework or ensure that it is done correctly. Safekey is a recreation-based program, we do not offer tutoring or homework help. This is to ensure that children are not misadvised on homework.
You must sign your child in and out daily. The person who is scheduled to pick up your child must be listed on the participation form and they must show proper identification.
Every child must have a new Safekey participation form on file for the 2023-2024 school year.Â
