With temperatures dropping here in the Las Vegas Valley, our mind has shifted from the best spot for ice cream, to a good place for something a bit warmer. We’re here to warm you up with some of our favorite spots here in the Valley to grab either a cup or bowl of incredible soup.
Here are our Seven Best Bowls of Soup. (in no particular order)
Tomato Basil with Orzo Pasta
With more and more Café Zupas popping up across the valley, the soup, salad, and sandwich spot is becoming a fast favorite. Although the Tomato Basil was our first love, I’ll admit that our eyes wandered and we cheated with the Wisconsin Cauliflower. If loving them both is wrong, I don’t want to be right! The restaurants are currently located in 6 states, with more on the way. We’re just glad they’re here. Don’t plan on stopping in for a bowl on Sundays, as they are closed.
Clam Chowder
If I told you that great soup was available in a grocery store, would you believe me? You better, because that’s what I’m saying. Sprouts Market normally offers 3 different soups daily, so there’s sure to be one that tantalizes your taste buds. It’s also a great spot to grab a healthy lunch to help stick to those New Years resolutions.
French Onion
If you wanted good spaghetti, heading off to Italy would probably be a safe bet. Then doesn’t it only make sense that if you want good authentic French Onion Soup, you visit Paris? Mon Ami Gabi, billed as a French Bistro inside the Paris Hotel and Casino, is like a trip to France without the expensive airfare. Their “Onion Soup Au Gratin” (that’s French for ‘French Onion Soup’) will have you wanting to visit the Eiffel Tower.
Broccoli Cheese Soup
When you think Panera Bread, you naturally think, well, bread. Their sandwiches are great, but can I let you in on a little secret?: Their soup is even better! Maybe I should keep that a secret so that they don’t run out of my favorites. Well, too late for that, I guess. Enjoy, but get there early…It goes fast!
Ramen
Everyone and their brother in Chinatown proclaims to have the best soup. After the number of recommendations I’ve received, it seems that Monta Japanese Noodle House really delivers. They have 5 different types of ramen, with several different toppings. Even kimchi. From what I’ve been told, the pork broth ramen should be at the top of your list.
Tortilla Soup
There’s nothing quite like a bowl of homemade tortilla soup on a cold Vegas day. The trouble with that is there’s not always time to make it at home. Thankfully we have places like Tacos and Beer around! A soup with complex flavors from the place with a simple name. They also have tacos and beer. Dos locations here in the valley to serve you.
Matzo Ball Soup
If chicken soup is the cure for the common cold, then matzo ball soup should be able to fix everything else! Just ask the folks at Weiss Deli. The Henderson restaurant has been there for over 10 years, and it’s only because they keep serving up the same delicious food, day after day.
