Join the OOgie Boogie Man, Jack and Sally, and celebrate Halloween in your favorite costumes. Kids will enjoy an amazing night painting their favorite things about Halloween while watching the “Nightmare before Christmas.” Dinner is included. Register at least one week in advance as space is limited.
The walking dead return to Henderson. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween garb or as a member of the undead. Race will start promptly at 6pm. Souvenir T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 300 participants. All fitness levels are welcome.

Have you ever been interested in learning about the paranormal? Join us to learn to decipher false positives, the basics of paranormal investigating and research, safety protocols, different spiritual hauntings, and the equipment used. Then you’ll be ready to use equipment to record evidence of a possible haunting. Materials and light snacks are provided. Feel free to bring your own dowsing rods and digital cameras to try and capture apparitions and orbs. We are searching for authentic experiences and take this seriously.

October 21 • Haunted Bus Tour
Join us in the touring the most haunted sites in Henderson and Las Vegas with local Paranormal Specialist David Castle. During this tour you will be taught how to use paranormal investigative tools, as you see, visit, and learn the history behind these haunted locations. Listen to your guide tell scary stories as you go, which talk about the strange phenomenon that happens within the bright lights of the city, the restless spirits, and the strange mysteries. If you are a Vegas native or new to the area, find out for yourself if the stories are true. The tour visits different locations so be prepared to get on and off the bus. Light snacks will be provided.

Children are provided a pumpkin to paint for Halloween. Light refreshments are provided. Costumes are optional as children may get messy. Children must be able to separate from parent easily. Parent/guardian must remain on property.
Get out and get active this fall at our neighborhood festival. Activities for the whole family include games, entertainment, local artists and music. Food trucks will be onsite to purchase refreshments. Wristbands available for $3 that includes bounce house, face painting and entry into the cake walk. Children 12 years and below must be accompanied by an adult. Free admission.

Looking for something fun to do with the family? Join us for a Hocus Pocus-themed escape room. Families will have one hour to escape the room. Each reservation time slot holds a maximum of 10 participants from the same household. Choose your time slot at registration. Cost is per person. Registration ends October 14.
Show off your pet’s Halloween costume and bring a trick-or-treat pail as you walk your leashed pet along the Heritage Park Trail, stopping at our stations along the way to collect dog treats. Visit the agility dog park to see if your pet is interested in trying out some tricks. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and best human/pet costume combo during each session. Join us for an after party in the dog park where we will announce winners and have agility courses and more treats for the pups. Registration is per pet and includes treats and a special gift for your four-legged friend.

Dress as your favorite Disney villain while celebrating All Hallows’ Eve. Bring your dancing feet and your sweet tooth to celebrate the misunderstood. Parent/guardian must remain on property with children ages 3-5.
Dress up in your Halloween costume and learn about spooky birds, make a craft, take a tour on the Bird Mobile, and trick or treat along our walking path. Watch out for things that go bump in the night.
Henderson’s premier safe trick or treating event returns for an evening of festive fun. Put on your costume and follow the trick-or- treat trail in our parking lot where we pass out treats (or tricks) from the trunks of our festively decorated cars. The event includes a variety of activities and entertainment. A set number of tickets are available for each time. Early purchased tickets will be available for pick up at Black Mountain Recreation Center October 25 and 26. Check the times posted on the night of the event for our costume contest.
