Holmstead Ranch Resort
Let’s go glamping!
We know, it’s a trendy buzzword, but it’s perfect for those of us who want to get out and enjoy some fresh air but have also some amenities like a shower, air conditioning, and an actual bed.
Holmstead Ranch Resort provides everything from traditional campsites (showers and bathrooms available nearby) to glamping cabins with a small fridge, television, and microwave, plus luxury cabins with kitchens/kitchenettes depending on your choice of accommodation.
The glamping cabins do not have bathrooms ensuite, but just a few steps away are big, pristine, private use showers and bathrooms.
The Lakeside and Woodside cabins do include bathrooms.
We stayed in a glamping cabin with a loft because we loved the idea of Kaya having her “own space” upstairs. Seriously, kids love the loft and the big picture window to stargaze at night. If it’s just the two of you, you can do a glamping cabin without the loft. There are so many options.

There is SO MUCH to do at Holmstead Ranch Resort.
Spend time by the lake relaxing, swimming, or learning how to paddleboard, or take the kayaks out for a paddle. Kaya, age 7, tried both paddleboarding and kayaking for the first time and loved it!
Other activities include horseshoes, cornhole, tennis and volleyball courts, skeet shooting, pickleball, paintball, a farm that is home to baby Alpaca (seriously the whole trip was made right then), and nearby hiking and sight-seeing.Â
Holmstead Ranch Resort property is stunning and everyone is so nice. It is the perfect place for a quick getaway, family reunions, bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or even a wedding. They have beautiful event spaces and can also host weddings outdoors in their dreamy orchard.
The Lakeside Luxury Lodge sleeps 15, perfect for a group event, or book multiple cabins! Â
Did I mention there is a baby Alpaca?
While visiting the animals, say hi to Steve and Jake, my favorite donkeys and they may even do some tricks for you. Watch out for the llamas, they have an attitude but are so fun to hang out with!
Our best recommendation is to pack your own food, there are grills to use if you are not staying in a cabin that boasts a kitchen. We packed stuff to make smores, but due to the no-burn ban, we were unable to use the fire pits. The grill was perfect for quickly roasting a marshmallow without all the fuss.

Fun things to do near Holmstead Ranch!
Nearby is the cute tiny town of Veyo, home to Veyo Pies, a must visit. Veyo also has a Mexican restaurant, Chips and Salsa, a pizza place, Slice of Veyo as well as a small market. There is also a Sinclair station that has a grill in the back that offers burgers, fries, chicken strips, etc.Â

Snow Canyon State Park – My personal favorite due to the majestic red rocks and beautiful hiking
In addition to hiking, there is a bike trail that spans throughout the park and gives some world-class views. You can also book trail rides.
Tuacahn Theater is one of my absolute favorite outdoor amphitheaters, but shows are currently paused due to COVID-19. We recommend checking back for future shows, as this is definitely worth checking out.
