National Geographic for Kids

Growing up my father saved every issue of National Geographic Magazine. We got it every month and each year was perfectly stored in a leather bound case. We could read them, but carefully, because they were a very treasured items in his collection of books. I love the memory of that magazine coming every month and can even still smell the freshly printed pages, but I am so glad my kids have the opportunity to enjoy everything National Geographic has to offer in kid-friendly and age-appropriate books that don’t need to be stored in a leather case, and that come in every subject  you can imagine!

Every Christmas both of my boys get the new National Geographic Almanac for Kids along with at least one other book they’ve requested from the collection. They read them through the  year and especially on road trips. The short passages and vivid pictures are perfect for short attention spans and for learns facts about your favorite animals, place, time period, virtually anything.
