Gilcrease Orchard Fun Facts
Did you know that cider is Gilcrease Orchard’s signature item. All apples are grown in the orchard with almost 80 tons being harvest for the apple cider. Apples used include gala, yellow gala, and an early red. The only thing in the cider is apples. Just apples. After the apples are pressed, the bottled cider is rushed to an on-site freezer to protect the freshness and extend the shelf life. You’ll get frozen cider while you’re at the orchard. Thawed cider will last up to two weeks in the fridge. The cider is heat pasteurized.
Did you know?
Gilcrease Orchard does not spray the apples with pesticides or wax them.
The difference between apple cider and apple juice is that apple cider is unfiltered contains solids from the fruit. It’s cloudy by nature.
