Join Nevada Chamber Orchestra for this extraordinary tribute to women composers designed to shine a spotlight on the immense talent and the lasting impact women have had on the world of music.
Experience the early-nineteenth century brilliance of Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel’s charming Overture in C major and the captivating beauty of Dame Ethyl Smith’s delightful String Serenade in E major. Witness the resplendent sounds of Florence Price’s Adoration for Strings once again, as her talent transcends time. Be mesmerized by the dynamic and expressive melodies of Libby Larsen’s String Symphony and the captivating storytelling of Soon Hee Newbold’s Perseus. Lastly, Caroline Shaw’s Entr’acte takes you on a musical journey through a classical-style dance that is filled with sonic surprises and wonder.
