Music Appreciation 101 with Jonathan Karrant

Join renown singer Jonathan Karrant for this six-part music appreciation class and take a one-of-a-kind journey through The Great American Songbook.This fun and interactive class is designed to help participants learn all about music and become more jazz enriched. Lectures and discussions focus on music history and how jazz has influenced popular music to include the birth of jazz and how it continues to develop and change through time. The focus will be on music history in order to gain insight into the creative works and lives of the innovators of music.
As an accomplished and award-winning artist who has performed across the United States, Jonathan brings his own real-life experiences and gained knowledge to each class creating a shared appreciation of this treasured music.
