At the beginning of the month we had a self-guided hike along White Domes Loop under the light of the Full Moon, and now we’re offering this opportunity again but during the night of the New Moon! Same trail, totally different experience. The trail will be marked with tealights.

WHAT: Hike the 1 mile loop trail over loose sand to see the White Domes slot canyon under the stars. Part of the trail involves walking down steep stone steps. This is a self-guided hike. You will need a flashlight, preferably one with a red setting.
WHEN: Monday, January 23. 5:30-8:30pm
Arrive any time between 5:30 and 7:30pm.
*The trail takes about 45min to complete.*
***You must be back in your vehicle, ready to exit the parking area, by 8:30pm at the LATEST.***
WHERE: White Domes Trail; At the end of White Domes Road (5.5 miles north of the Visitor Center)

COST: Pay at the self-pay stations at either entrance.
– $10 for NV Residents per vehicle,
– $15 for Out of State Guests per vehicle.
(If you have a NEVADA STATE PARKS Annual Pass or a receipt from entry to the park earlier on the same day you do not have to pay the above fee!)
No reservation required.
