Walk with a Doc, sponsored by AARP Nevada, is a free program open to anyone interested in taking steps toward a healthier lifestyle. Take the first few minutes to learn about a current health topic from an Intermountain Healthcare provider. Then the rest of the hour is yours to enjoy a healthy walk, fresh air, and fun conversation with the group. You don’t need any special gear and there are no special rules, just walk at your own pace and distance.Did you know: Walking is low impact and easier on the joints than running. It is safe – with a doctor’s okay – for people with orthopedic ailments, heart conditions, and those who are more than 20% overweight. In addition, research has shown that you could gain two hours of life for each hour of regular exercise!
This event is complimentary and educational; there will be no sales activity. To learn more about Medicare, please visit medicare.gov.
Directions: Please enter via entrance though Craig and Revere Street. Drive through park entrance and park in the parking lot right next to the volleyball & basketball courts.
We will be located behind the volleyball courts at the “Fit Lot”.
