It’s the local attraction that everyone wants to know about, Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Las Vegas, located inside the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino.
Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Las Vegas is an immersive and educational experience that will bring you and your family into the world of The Avengers. Welcoming all ages, visitors are granted access to the official S.T.A.T.I.O.N. headquarters and taken deep into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with access to an array of intelligence files, classified studies and experiments that explore the history and scientific origins of The Avengers while training to become an agent of S.T.A.T.I.O.N.
On display is an extensive range of Avengers operational equipment such as Captain America’s uniform and shield, Bruce Banner’s laboratory, Hawkeye and Black Widow uniforms and weapons, Vision’s birth cradle, Ant-Man’s helmet, a preserved Chitauri from the Battle of New York, Iron Man’s MK 45 suit and the Hulkbuster suit.
But really, what is it? And will my kids enjoy it?
You are guided through the exhibit by an app (iOS or Android) available for download on your personal device or pre-loaded devices from Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Las Vegas. The app is your training tool and the tour is your mission. Maria Hill guides your experience, asking questions and giving directions through the exhibit as you explore and learn.
After completing your (probationary) agent profile, enter the exhibit and begin your mission.
You will learn about your favorite Marvel characters and experience some of their superpowers. You may even test your own powers if you dare.
During your mission, you will receive alerts on your device, so pay attention! In order to advance you should be able to answer the questions and complete the tasks that Maria Hill gives you. Parents, be prepared to offer assistance to younger agents in your family.
Your mission will include interacting with equipment, gear, and memorabilia from your favorite heroes including Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Ant-Man, Falcon, Black Widow, Vision, Hawkeye, Hydro man, and more. Both your knowledge and strength will be tested along the way, so will your imagination. Before your mission is complete you will engage in an epic battle …
If your family loves superheroes and especially Marvel’s Avengers then this is the place for you. If you’re not sure how you feel about superheroes right now, then you’ll love them when you leave!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Parking
Treasure Island: During our visit, both self-parking and valet were complimentary, but Las Vegas is always changing so if this is a concern, please call before arriving to verify fees. If you use Treasure Island parking expect to walk through the casino and ride an escalator/elevator up to the attraction.
The Fashion Show Mall: There is an above-ground walkway between The Fashion Show Mall and Treasure Island Hotel & Casino leading directly to the Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. exhibit. For convenient access to the walkway, park in the ground parking (red parking is best) near Macy’s and Neiman Marcus.
Dining
Your best bet for everything from dinner to ice cream is at The Fashion Show Mall. With as many as 25 restaurants including Benihana, Kona Grill, El Segunda Sol, Ra Sushi, The Sugar Factory, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Haagen Daz, Nordstrom’s Café, and a complete food court, no one in your family will go hungry.
Food and drink are not allowed inside of the exhibit. I doubt anyone will take a sippy cup of water from a toddler (see below), but skip the yard of margarita until your mission is complete!
Toddler Agents
Yes, toddlers deserve their own category! Toddler Bonus – Children ages 3 and under are admitted free into Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Las Vegas.
Strollers are permitted in the exhibit, but an agent will escort you down an elevator when you have completed your mission. (because during your mission you went up a level – superpowers are crazy!)
Food and drink are not permitted in the exhibit. As previously mentioned, we doubt anyone, despite their powers, will pry a sippy cup of water from a toddler, but there is no power great enough to clean the crumbs of smashed goldfish from the floor of the Vision Regeneration Room, especially when it was crushed practicing the Hulk Smash. Keeping the snacks tucked away shouldn’t be too hard during the 60 – 90 minutes that you are completing your mission though, it’s pretty interactive for everyone.
While the littles don’t necessarily have to complete the mission on their own device, toddlers are sticklers about having their own stuff! If your little agent has an iPad or tablet, download the app and include him/her in the fun. The app is free.
There is a biohazard containment area during your mission, but it doesn’t account for toddlers or infants. Thankfully, there is a family bathroom when you complete your mission and exit the exhibit. If necessary, you can expedite your mission to reach a restroom. We recommend asking all members of your party (ahem, children) to use the facilities before they begin so there is no interruption to their mission!
If your child is sensitive to loud noises we recommend bringing ear protection for use during the experience. There are a few areas where a sensitive child may appreciate having ear muffs or earplugs.
Mission Accomplished
When you have completed your mission, take a minute to explore the 8,000 square feet of retail space that includes more superhero memorabilia than can imagine, including opportunities to capture your experience and training. You can print out your agent card, grab a super family photo, and much more!
Additional Agent Experiences & Fun Tips
The Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. attraction takes 60 – 90 minutes to experience, but with some planning, you can turn it into a day (or more) full of super fun!
Download the app on your devices before you arrive to prepare for the experience. It is available for iOS or Android. It’s a large download, so start the process at home while you are connected to WiFi.
Plan a Marvel Movie Night before or after your experience (or both) to help really get you in a super mood. My son chose to watch Captain America: Civil War, it was the perfect compliment to our experience. If the movies available are too mature for your viewing audience, you can always spend time together watching Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, after all it’s family time and memories we’re after!
Take it even further with reading! Depending on your child’s reading level these Epic Collections are fantastic! They are great for more advanced reading levels or can be read aloud too. Of course, we chose Captain America, he’s a favorite if you haven’t noticed! My son also asked for a couple of these Mighty Marvel Chapter Books after our visit!
